ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
This policy embraces our relationships with our suppliers. We will promote better environmental practices, which are to everyone's mutual benefit. We will also strive to demonstrate our social responsibility and be known for our leadership in protecting the environment.
Our environmental performance will be made publicly available, both at our premises and to the media if required. Our Environment Management Programme sets objectives and targets as defined below:
- Morplan's goal is to reduce the environmental impact of its activities. This goal will be achieved through the use of an Integrated Management System designed to control, monitor and reduce the effect of our operation on the environment. To this end, Morplan will be in line with and, when possible, ahead of legislation.
- Morplan will also support, work with and encourage all elements of its supply chain, from suppliers through to customers, in order to cooperate and benefit from this effort.
- Morplan's approach is defined by the following steps:-
- Reduce consumption
- Attempt to re-use and recycle materials
- Dispose of waste safely
- Explore alternatives
- Morplan's Environmental targets for the period 2003 - 2007 are:-
- All cardboard waste to be resegregated and disposed of to recycling centres with a 5% Target Reduction (on 2003 figures) by December 2007
- All Electrical Equipment purchased for operational use to be *Energy Star* approved
- Chemical Waste to be reduced by 5% by December 2007
Based on our management principles, we recognise environmental conservation as one of the most important missions given to mankind. Furthermore, we believe this is an important element in all our business activities and will therefore assume responsibility to achieve this end on a company wide basis.
