The not so humble clothes rail is a heavy weight player!

Garment rails may seem like a back-of-house item, but in reality, they’re really rather important and can be used in many areas in the retail environment.

They are available in many widths, heights, and load weights. The widths and heights are measured in feet and the height can be increased using extensions. Weight loads vary from our standard (160kg) right up to our super heavy duty (200kg).

Garment rails or clothes rails, to some, allows the movement of a large number of garments to be moved from one place to another. This not only saves a great deal of time, volume wise, it also means these items are delivered safe from damage too.

Most retailers use these extensively, either back of house, in-store or more commonly, as a sale rail for seasonal promotions. This means customers can easily identify where the sale items are and browse happily along the fixture.

This in-store arrangement ensures a pleasant stroll along the rails where the items display their prices and size to make selection easy. This is an essential activity, even more so at sale time. Making sure the customer can see the size cube (Size Cubes, small but mighty) and price tag so it produces a higher conversion and a successful sales event!

The humble clothes rail is also used in other areas, possibly not as familiar with consumers. Any clothing manufacturer has high volumes of items that need to move around a factory without causing damage or losing them in transit. They would also need to have storage for the steaming and finishing station, so a clothes rails are essential at most stages of manufacture.

Another use includes fashion shows where design houses and brands bring together large numbers of garments from their collections to be worn by models during the show. Robust clothes rails are required to provide efficient delivery and storage of the clothes.
