Our plastic carrier bags for retail are available in many colours, including classic plain black or white, or colourful styles such as blue, brown, burgundy, gold, green, pink, purple, red, silver and turquoise. Micron - The thicker the plastic, the stronger the carrier bag! Please note, the micron doesn’t necessarily indicate how see-through the bag will be.

Handle type - Cut-out handles are the simplest type of carrier bag handle available but offer the least strength so are not usually adequate on larger carrier bags.Patch handles have a second layer of plastic stuck on the inside of the bag around each hole to create a longer-lasting bag.Flexi-Loop handles are the strongest and most comfortable to carry however, because they are welded onto a reinforced edge, they can cost a little more

Gusset - Allows your carrier bag to expand to accommodate bulkier items putting less stress on the seams

Size - Unless everything you sell is the same size and shape you're probably going to need more than one size of carrier bag. We stock a wide range of bags in a wide range of sizes so we should have what you need

Material -  Most of our plastic carrier bags are made from low density (LD) polythene which is soft and flexible. High density (HD) polythene is much stronger so can be used to make thinner bags, reducing cost. MD/HD polythene offers a great combination of strength and texture. Some manufacturers add fillers to their polythene to create a thicker, more opaque bag but this process reduces strength.

Although plastic carrier bags typically cannot be recycled as part of general household recycling, they are readily recyclable at local collection points or many high-street supermarkets. Before recycling, make sure that your plastic carrier bags are clean, dry, and empty. 

We offer a degradable green plastic carrier bag and the majority of our plastic carrier bags contain a percentage of recycled content, helping retailers lower their carbon footprint while maintaining functionality and style.

Paper and plastic carrier bags are both great options for retailers, and at Morplan, we offer a variety of carrier bags in different sizes, colours, and styles to suit your branding and budget.
